Sweet Potato Recipes to Lose Weight

If you are craving French fries, why not replace them with some healthy oven-roasted sweet potatoes? You only need 3 small sweet potatoes, half a teaspoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of minced rosemary, half a teaspoon of mustard and 1 and a half tablespoons of garlic flavored olive oil.

Preheat your oven to 450° F, peel the potatoes and cut them into 8 wedges. Mix them with the rest of the ingredients and arrange them in a single layer on the oven pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until they are soft and golden.

You can also use the sweet potato to create a desert, such as sweet potato pancakes. What you need is one sweet potato, 2 large eggs, 1/3 cup almond flour, one teaspoon vanilla extract and one cinnamon, half a teaspoon baking powder and 2 teaspoons maple syrup.

First, peel the potato, cut it into quarters and put it in the microwave for about 10 minutes until it's soft. Mash with a potato masher, measure 1/2 cup of smooth paste and mix it with the rest of the ingredients. Use a 1/4 measuring cup to get the right quantity for a pancake.Use the back of a spoon to shape each pancake and cook for about 2 minutes on each side.
