1 T prepared mustard
1 T cherry, apricot, peach or pineapple preserves
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup quick cooking oatmeal
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1 lb uncooked lean ground turkey meat
4 sliced pineapple rings
4 rolls or buns of choice toasted and split to serve *
For glaze, stir together mustard and preserves; set aside
In a medium bowl combine egg, rolled oats, celery, salt and pepper. Add ground turkey; mix well. Shape turkey mixture into 4 1/4 inch thick patties.
For a charcoal grill, grill patties on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals
(165 degrees) for 14-18 minutes or until no longer pink. Turning once halfway through grilling and brushing with glaze during the last minute of grilling. Reduce heat to medium. Add pineapple rings to grill and char both sides.
Brush any remaining glaze over burgers, top with pineapple rings, garnish as desired and serve on toasted buns. Nice buns!GO BACK
